Ashlie + Farouk, Halifax Wedding

Featured by our friends over at Halifax Weddings. Ashlie and Farouk’s Halifax wedding was less about one day and more about the full experience.

They brought everyone to Nova Scotia and turned it into a multi-day celebration. Part destination wedding, part cultural fusion, and fully their own.

Their story started at work. A project turned into daily conversations, walks home together, and eventually something more. Not long after, Farouk proposed in Santorini, and the plan shifted toward a wedding that felt just as intentional. They chose Halifax for a reason. It gave them space to bring both families together and build something that reflected both sides.

The weekend unfolded over multiple events. An intimate family dinner, a high-energy Indian dance party, time on the water around the harbour, and a ceremony led by their closest friends. By the time the wedding day arrived, everything felt easy. Everyone already knew each other. The pressure was gone.

That’s what stood out most. The way their families showed up, connected, and fully embraced each other’s traditions. A wedding built around people, culture, and time together. And one that didn’t try to fit into a single day.
