This assignment focused on capturing the full cycle of a highly productive garden — from early planting through to peak harvest — showcasing the techniques and environments used to extend the growing season.
Growing Under Cover explores practical solutions for modern vegetable gardening, including the use of cloches, row covers, cold frames, greenhouses, and other protective structures to create controlled growing conditions. Photographed in Niki’s own garden, the book highlights how these approaches can improve yield, reduce pests, and support year-round production.
