One of the highlights of my year was joining the SailGP Media Team during SailGP Halifax.
My assignment wasn't to photograph the racing itself. Instead, I was there to document everything happening around it, the fans, the energy, the atmosphere, and the excitement that surrounded the Canadian team throughout the weekend.
With an all-access media pass, I worked from George's Island and the main grandstands, following the media team's shot list while capturing genuine moments as they unfolded. It was pure photojournalism, observing, anticipating, and telling the story of the event through the people experiencing it.
Events like SailGP remind me why I love this kind of work. Every assignment is different, and every crowd has its own personality. My job is to capture those moments naturally, creating images that help tell the story long after the event is over.
It was a privilege to work with the SailGP Media Team, and I hope to be back next year.
