Nova Scotia Whale Watching Wedding

Whale watching on your wedding day isn’t something you see often, but for Becky and John, it made perfect sense.

Becky spent years working with Mariner Cruises Whale and Seabird Tours, so they built their wedding around the experience. A small group, out on the water, off the southern coast of Nova Scotia.

Getting there was part of it. A long drive, two ferries, then a boat ride out to find the right place to stop. It felt like an adventure before the day even started.

Wildlife is never guaranteed, but everything lined up. Whales, dolphins, and seabirds surrounded the boat throughout the ceremony. Multiple whales breaching nearby, something Becky said she had never seen like that before.

As the light dropped, we made our way back to shore. They ended the day with a quiet first dance on a deserted beach, followed by a bonfire under the night sky.

A wedding built around experience, place, and a bit of unpredictability. And one that delivered on all of it.

Big thanks to our friends over at CTV Atlantic for sharing their wonderful story!
